…and then there were none.

I accept the order of things, I really do. A food chain exists in the garden too and I further accept than one cannot be overly precious, protective or sensitive as the seasons change and various pests and predators freeload the garden larder. My raised bed  has had three successive propagation attempts obliterated. I accept that. I will soldier on. Day upon day of grey, wet and thoroughly miserable weather has not dampened my spirits either. I can see the benefits of this wet spell in my garden as some of the plants are looking more healthy and robust than ever. I’m a patient man…and then there were none! The slugs have worked their way through the last of my sunflowers and have taken away my small corner of sunshine. I cannot accept that.
